Calculation Methodology

This tool calculates the monthly cost for each provider based on your specific usage patterns. It automatically selects the best plan from each provider and compares them side-by-side.

Call Types

• Simple Calls: Standard answering service calls. Each call counts as 1 Call Unit (CU) for ASI billing.
• Advanced Calls: Calls that require patching or transfer (incoming + outgoing). Each call counts as 2 Call Units (CU) for ASI billing. Competitor pricing is unaffected since they bill by minutes or actual calls, not call units.

Competitor Pricing

For competitors with per-minute pricing, we calculate the cost based on your average call length. Plans with included minutes or calls are factored into the calculation to show the true monthly cost.

Color Coding

• Green: Most affordable options
• Yellow: Mid-range pricing
• Red: Most expensive options
